Fergie has hit out at Us Weekly for suggesting she’s had cosmetic surgery on her nose and eyebrows.

The magazine shows two photos of the singer (one from the 1980s, and one from 2007) with commentary from a surgeon, who says chances are the singer has had rhinoplasty, but Fergie says she’s never had the surgery and she’s become so distraught by the gossip and speculation that she sees a therapist to help her get through the rough times.

Says Fergie:

“One of those magazines says I’ve had a nose job and an eyebrow lift, which is completely untrue. Personally, I see a therapist. It’s hard, it hurts my feelings. I call my hypnotherapist and cry and let it go. That’s what I do. I think that they nitpick these days so much and it’s just got to the point where it’s ridiculous.”

Earlier this week in a similar story, actress Scarlett Johannson also spoke up about allegations made by Us Weekly that she too, has had rhinoplasty and says she’s considering taking legal action for the story, telling OK! magazine exclusively:

“I have always been straightforward with the press regarding my body image and I am very concerned that my fans (and perhaps even my employers) will feel mislead. Thus, I feel compelled to take immediate legal action against US Weekly.”
