Finding the Perfect Holiday Hair

Looking for a change for the holidays? Try a haircut. Model after the celebs with some current hairstyle trends.

Or you could do something like Hayden did, with a medium braid through the hair. Notice how it pulls her hair back? Or, still on braids, if you want to have some wisps hanging down, to frame your face or for whatever other reason, you can try the Mary-Kate style, with the braid across the head, and the rest of the hair in an updo (see below). The braids are a quick way to change your style and make it look special.

You could go the curly route, like Beyonce or Sarah Jessica Parker, or try the big sausage curls - a very romantic look like what Natalie Portman has. I love the big sausage curls. They come to my little sister naturally. Others like my sister could make an easy change by simply straightening her hair.

Messy updos après Eva Longoria are very pretty and chic, and don’t require a lot of time. The bob is also coming back into style, like Victoria Beckham, Paris Hilton and Anne Hathaway’s new cut.

For the men, the five o’clock shadow is a nice touch, and product is also good - but don’t use too much! The shadow offers a degree of mystery, and for those who wear it well, it’s a very charming rugged look.

As far as cut’s go, clean cuts are in, but not entirely clean - go for something a little crazy, and not necessarily straight. You can try a longer cut, like what Patrick Dempsey has and then style it up. You can also try something short, like a crewcut like David Beckham’s and add a little bang in front - which can also be styled. My boyfriend’s stylist tried that on him recently, and now that I’m used to it, I really like it. It gives him a little length, without it being too long for him.
