Calvin Klein Adds Women’s Performance Gear Line

Calvin Klein announced Thursday that G-III Apparel Group Ltd, a division of Calvin Klein, will be producing a new women’s clothing line called “Calvin Klein Performance.” The line will release some women’s biking, tennis, yoga and running clothes in Spring 2008, and everything will be out in FAll 2008.
The goal of the clothing line is to enhance women’s athletic clothing with materials and designs that match today’s women’s lifestyles. The line will include pants, capris, t-shirts, shorts, hoodies, tank tops and tennis skirts and dresses.
The President and Chief Operating Officer of Calvin Klein, Inc said, “As we continue to expand product categories to provide the Calvin Klein consumer with a wide range of lifestyle apparel options, the addition of women’s performance apparel fills an important niche.”
The clothes will be released in the United States as well as in some parts of Mexico and Canada.
Venus Williams: Fashion Designer

International tennis superstar Venus Williams will soon be able to add ’Fashion Designer’ to her long list of accomplishments when she walks across the commencement stage on Thursday, December 13, to receive her associate’s degree in Fashion Design from The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. She has been attending the college since the fall of 1999.
“I love fashion and the idea that I am using my design education to actually create clothing and footwear that reflects my personality and energy both on and off the court,” said Williams of her new line, EleVen.
Andre West, who is chair of the Fashion programs at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale gives praise to Williams’:
“Venus has been a blessing to the department in so many ways, her drive and focus as we know is somewhere in the stratosphere. She has taken that same drive that she shows on the court all the way to the cutting table, sewing machine and computer. We will miss seeing her smiling face in the hallways, the faculty, staff and students have enjoyed having such a mellow unassuming superstar in our presence. We have all given her as much effort as we could to follow her other dream - fashion - and she has given everything and more back to us by her dedication and flair. Not only having great portfolio, but graduating college is a dream come true for Venus.”
Venus Williams Gets Her Own Fashion Label

You heard it here first, Venus Williams the international superstar tennis pro is to get her own clothing range under her own label which is to be known as “EleVen”. Venus explained that the brand name was selected for two reasons, her childhood address in Compton included ‘11′ plus the number means going beyond the classic “top ten.
We here at Hottogs.com are of the opinion that this is a catchy name that doesn’t sound “chavy” (for those in the UK) but still sounds as if it can swing with the youth culture of todays world in Blighty, Europe and the US.
Of course, fans of Venus are bound to pounce on the EleVen clothing label right away, but looking at the clothing range that will be coming out we are sure that many others will follow the few early adopters to turn EleVen into a big hit for Venus.
