Isabeli Fontana Poses For H&M
December 18, 2007 | 1 Comment
While David Beckham is modeling Armani underwear, H&M is using model Isabeli Fontana to promote their underwear. The gorgeous brunette Brazilian supermodel has previously worked for the Victoria’s Secret lingerie catalogue.
Isabeli started modeling when she was 16, and the 24-year-old clearly hasn’t lost her touch. In a recent interview, Isabeli shared that she prefers lace panties - “the less coverage the sexier.”
She also said, “I feel sexiest when I have very nice clothes on, like a long, elegant dress.”
It’s no surprise, then, that Isabeli posed in lacy lingerie sets, kimono robes and mini slips. This luxe lingerie is sold at H&M - and we all know that means it’s within the budget of the average person.
Spanx Pantyhose: Lose Inches Immediately Without Dieting
December 14, 2007 | Leave a Comment

For all the women out there who want to lose inches instantly: try Spanx. Spanx are like panty hose, but soooo much better. Not only do they shape your body in a way that panty hose will never be able to do, but they also eliminate panty lines. Just in time for the holiday wear, right?
There are several options to Spanx, too, so you don’t need to get them all the way down to your toes. You can get the full length if you want - from your toes to waist, tummy or high waist - for $20-38. Or you can buy some that will shape your tummy, your butt, and your thighs, with or without toes. Basically, you can buy any combination you want. And they really work, I know. These are sold online at the Spanx website, as well as in Lane Bryant, Macy’s, and Nordstrom’s.
Pregnant? Trying to Find Cute Cothing That Fits Right?
November 16, 2007 | 5 Comments
Today’s maternity clothes aren’t like what they used to be. Pregnancy used to mean frumpy, but now it doesn’t have to at all. Now, pregnant can be just as stylish, if not more stylish, than otherwise. Bellabumbum is just one of the many stores that helps today’s maternity clothes stay stylish and practical.
All of Hollywood’s pregnant soon-to-be Mommas are sporting these clothes, including Nicole Richie, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez and Halle Berry (who finally decided that maybe maternity clothes were the way to go, after all).
The super soft, micro-fiber clothing comes in sexy designs that can be worn during pregnancy and even after the baby comes, as many of the pieces are designed with nursing hardware.
These are some of the incredible pieces I really liked that are found at Belabumbum.
This Copacabana Lace Nursing Bra is available for only $4o in white, black, salmon, aqua and latte.
This Cotton Maternity/Nursing Bra is only $15, and is available in white, black, lipstick with black trim, pink with white trim, blue with white trim and mint green with white trim. The material is comfortable, soft,and pretty.
This gorgeous nursing cami can easily be worn alone or under something, and is available for only $56 in a couple of colors.
This Lotus Lace Nursing Chemise-Rose is available for only $68.
I like this black nursing chemise, too.
I think these tulle and lace lounge pants are beautiful, and they look amazing, and can be worn whether you’re in the maternal way, or simply want to be comfortable and pretty, for only $48.
Belabumbum retailers are found in almost every state in the country, and on their homepage, there is a link where you can find the different retailers and locate the one nearest to you. You can also purchase the clothing online.
Are You Wearing the Right Size Bra?
November 14, 2007 | Leave a Comment
My roommate came home yesterday and told me that she’d heard about Oprah doing a show on how most women are wearing the wrong bra size. That got me thinking about if women really know how to find out what bra they should be wearing.
A few ways to know you’re bra size is incorrect:
- Back fat falling over the edge of the bra
- Breasts spilling over the cups (I know that wonder bras push them up, but they shouldn’t be falling out)
- Pinching wires
- Falling straps - or straps that pinch
- Dimpling cups
Evidently, about 70-85 percent of women are wearing the wrong bra size. Your bra should be comfortable, sitting under your breast and resting on your chest. A bra that fits right will be comfortable - even if you have to go up (or down) a bra size.
So, how do you find the right bra size? It’s not really that hard. You only need two measurements
- The underbust measurement (measuring under your bust)
- The overbust measurement (measuring the fullest part of your bust)
Now, take your underbust measurement (UM) and, if it’s an even number of inches, add 4 to that number. If it’s an odd number of inches, add five to that number.
Now, take your Overbust Measurement (OM) to determine your bra size.
If the bra size is the same as the OM number, you’re an A. 1 inch more gives you a B, 2 inches more gives you a C, 3 inches more gives you a D, 4 inches more gives you a DD, 5 inches m ore gives you an F, and so on.
So, here’s an example:
UM=32 + 4inches = Bra size 36
OM=40. 40-36 = 4, so the correct bra size is 36DD.
I don’t know about the rest of you, but after checking it myself, I need to go bra shopping.
What does the colour of your lingerie says about you?

If you have been looking through any fashion magazines lately you will have seen the new styles coming through for Autumn. Berry colours are going to be everywhere - maroons, purples and reds. I was watching a ‘fashion pundit’ on television this week who said to get the look right you need to wear the same colour from head to foot! However, if you don’t really want to end up looking like a giant blueberry and would rather introduce berry colours more subtly.
Luckily lingerie comes in a huge range of colours this season and the choice available for us ladies is fantastic - basically we are going to be spoilt for choice. The colour of your lingerie speaks volumes about the person wearing it - take a look:-
Red - diligent, appreciative, resolute and reviving;
Orange - tender, brave, liberal, lavish and unselfish;
Yellow - incisive, fair, sharp, honest and unprejudiced;
Green - sensible, benevolent, talented, tolerant and discreet;
Blue - peaceful, faithful, virtuous, reflective and sacred;
Indigo - organised, optimistic, pure, discerning and compliant;
Purple - aboundless, noble, artistic, mystic and altruistic;
Black - creative, idealistic, hidden wealth and strong;
White - truthful, benevolent and unspoilt;
Grey - reputable, sane, spartan and authentic;
Silver - revealing, impartial, astute and contemplative;
Gold - enlightened, abundant, mature and achieving.
As Autumn reveals its softer side, so why not curl up in delicate laces and soft knits in muted shades of amethyst, berry, tobacco and toffee? Choose bejewelled, embroidered or layered over a contrasting colour, blacks and berries undoubtedly dominates this season, lending a theatrical look to the autumn lingerie collections.
Now summer’s fresh blooms are giving way to something a little darker - take a look at slinky satins, smoky hues and black trims. These extras give this season’s florals a sophisticated edge.
Attention to detail - look at the intricate embroidery, delicate overlays, keyholes, boning and slim satin ribbons incorporated in lingerie items giving this season’s special occasion lingerie a handcrafted feel.
Stronger than summer’s pastels, this season’s deep blues feature in many of the best fashion pieces - but you might well find a favourite everyday bra in navy or petrol too.
But remember - imperative that you are wearing the right size bra, so that you get an impressive flattering shape and excellent support. Stick to smooth bras for wearing under fitted or sheer tops as these are best for not showing through these coloured tops.
Wear streamline or fitted shapes - more flattering than baggy clothes. Choose tops with seams or darts under the bust - these will define your waist and make you look slimmer.
FINALLY - every woman is difeerent and we all come in all different shapes and sizes. No matter which colour lingerie you choose - maybe a colour which you love, or you think reflects your personality, a woman must be comfortable in whatever she chooses.
There are excellent styles and colours available from manufacturers such as Anita, Charnos, Panache, Royce and Vanity Fair - take a look the gorgeous, new ranges - they may surprise you!!

Lasting Lingerie Launches Podcast
August 25, 2007 | Leave a Comment
When Lasting Lingerie came onto the scene they had a different mission. They wanted to sell lingerie to their customers, but they wanted to be more than a store that sold lingerie, they wanted to inspire their customers to create lasting memories with their purchases and set off to create ideas to help them do so.
This small-idea-turned-huge has turned Lasting Lingerie into an information portal for the lingerie-loving public. Along with creative tips, tricks and uses for using lingerie to create lasting memories of a beautiful time with a special person; Lasting Lingerie has also taken the step to create the lingerie podcast with Lacy and Luca to share their knowledge, offer advice, read customer’s stories and so much more. The new podcast can be summed up as part tips and advice, part romantic stories, part comedy banter, part reviews and specials, with a lot of lingerie.
“We like to be accessible to the public and Lacy and I talk to customers every single day about lingerie from how to choose lingerie as a gift to what type of bustier might like look best on a plus size lady” said Luca Lovell, spokesman for Lasting Lingerie. “Lacy and I decided that it would be a great idea to take the questions we get and answer them in a format everyone has access to like a podcast.”
Each podcast is a gathering of information on the Lasting Lingerie website that is hosted by Luca and Lacy Lovell and includes an overview of the show and a reading of one of the personal stories from the “Lasting Memories” section of the site where people that have purchased lingerie are invited to share the way they created a lasting memory with their purchase. The podcast typically covers an advice article from the blog that is discussed further by Lacy and Luca. The show has a Q&A session including questions visitors have sent in the previous week through email and a submission form on the website. The show wraps up with Lacy actually trying on an item of lingerie and giving her own review of the product from fit to feel to overall thoughts about the item. Then Luca has his chance at reviewing the product, giving his thoughts from a male’s perspective, with his remarks on “does it look good? Is it sexy? Does it even fit right?”
“When Lacy and I mentioned to people we were thinking of doing a podcast about lingerie, a lot of people said it was too racy of a subject but Lacy is putting on lingerie in our podcast shows, not taking it off.” says Luca “We’re passionate about sharing information and we know people may have questions they are too shy to ask and we wanted to especially reach those people and make them comfortable with the subject of lingerie while trying to make it fun. We hope to make the podcast fun and entertaining with a sexy and fun banter that only a husband and wife can achieve.”
Lasting Lingerie continues to be the “different kind of lingerie store” and the community atmosphere they have created is designed to make every customer feel welcome and comfortable purchasing lingerie. “We enjoy coming up with ways to communicate with our customers”, added Luca, “We want everyone to enjoy their shopping experience with us, learn about lingerie and get inspired to create their own lasting memories”.
Lasting Lingerie was founded on the premise that people should be creating lasting wonderful memories instead of buying just another piece of lingerie. Lasting Lingerie serves up this idea to happy customers all over the world and continues expanding their line of items to not only include lingerie, but men’s items, costumes, hosiery and a vast amount of lingerie related information as well as tips and tricks for choosing and caring for lingerie. The Sexy Thong
August 25, 2007 | Leave a Comment
Underwear is more than a necessity - it’s a sense of style, and a sense of fashion. A lot of women like the naughty feeling that comes from wearing thong underwear, even if (or especially if) nobody else can see it. It boosts confidence, and gives them a burst of energy.
While thong underwear has been popular since at least the mid ’80s, it’s become more popular since the Clinton administration, and more women are looking for intimate undergarments that give them a sense of intimacy, rather than plain cotton panties. Thongs come in a bewildering array of fabrics and designs, allowing you to wear something sexy and beautiful every single day. Some women feel that thong underwear is more comfortable than any other style of underwear.
A comparatively hot trend in thongs are lace and mesh materials. A see through set of intimates can be sexy and romantic, and are available in every hue of the rainbow, and because it’s lightweight, it breathes. A lot of men purchase this kind of underwear for their wives and girlfriends!
Another hot fashion item in thongs are beads and gems. These have embroidery, beads and gem stitched into the underwear to give it a more glamorous touch. These can be stitched in cute patterns - hearts and flowers and monograms. They can even be worn under tight clothing without being spotted.
Most things can be purchased as part of a set of intimates - a bra or a small camisole that will make any woman feel sexy and beautiful and desired. They can be worn to bed, out on a romantic evening with your beau, or even to the office under your professional attire.
Where can you get sexy thong underwear? Nearly anywhere - from mall stores to online shops to lingerie catalogs. Even discount stores like Wal-Mart / ASDA are starting to carry thongs, putting this option in the reach of nearly anyone.
