Matthew McConaughey Launches a Fashion Line

 Matthew McConaughey

Matthew McConaughey, the incredibly hot actor (who is also expecting a baby soon) who is known less for his fashion and more for his beach style, is launching a clothing line. And he’s playing off of his beach image to sell beach wear. Matthew said, “It will be a one-stop shop for everything you need for the beach.”  Basically, the line will have t-shirts, swim clothes and Frisbees (I know my brother will appreciate the Frisbees, if nothing else).

The surf wear will be called “J.K. Livin, same as his production company, which is short for “Just Keep Livin’.” There’s no word on when the clothes will be released.

Kim Kardashian Poses for Bongo Clothing

Kim Kardashian

It’s nice to see Kim Kardashian posing for something that doesn’t make her look… that covers her up. Basically, it’s nice to see her using her curves for a good thing: Bongo clothing.

Kim says the reason she’s posing for Bongo is, “This is a fun, young, fresh campaign and I am honored to be a part of it. What I am excited about is how Bongo jeans fit. They hug my curves in all the right places.”

The thing that’s refreshing about Kim is she is a curvy girl, and she’s not ashamed of it or necessarily trying to change it.

Bongo clothing is available online.

“Wrapped With Love” By Hilary Duff

Hilary Duff

Hilary Duff had an amazing concert while she was in Sydney, Australia this weekend, with fans lining up early to talk to her. While there, she also announced the release of her latest perfume, “Wrapped With Love,” which is newly available in Australia.

Hilary said, “I don’t want to eat it, but it’s very yummy. It totally reminds me of summer time. It’s very sweet.” Sweet and summery is actually a pretty apt description of Hilary herself.

The singer-actress who has a rep as a do-gooder, “sexed up” her look for the concert, too. And she looked pretty hot! That’s the thing I love about Hilary. She knows what looks good on her, and she’s comfortable. She’s not ashamed of who she is. I wish everyone could have that confidence.

Paris Hilton Designs Shoes

 Paris Hilton
Paris Hilton is designing shoes, calling the collection “Paris Hilton Footwear.” The new line is designed for those who are fashionable, but who can’t (or don’t want to) drop tons of money for shoes. “I have always loved shoes, and after working on my recently launched sportswear and fragrance lines, this seemed like a natural next step.”

Of course, the shoes are going to have some pink in them (her obsession with the color makes me think of Reese Witherspoon in Legally Blond - although at least Elle was cute about it) and will be sold at Macy’s, Kitson and other boutiques. The “without spending a fortune” shoes will cost between $60 and $200, which is standard for celebrity-brand shoes (even the ones that are scary).

The line will be ready this spring and I can’t wait to see what they look like so I can decide whether or not they’re wearable. I’m guessing they will be - even if I won’t be able to afford them.

Kim Kardashian Poses For Travis Barker Fashion Line

Kim Kardashian in bikini
Little A-list wannabe Kim Kardashian has agreed to pose - mostly naked - for the Travis Barker fashion line. I guess she thinks her assets will get her far in modeling - first in Playboy and now naked again. I guess you gotta do what you’re good at, right? As you can see, they’re kinda taking the girls and hot cars approach, copying the Louis-Vuitton approach.

In any case, Aubrey O’Day was also featured (also naked) for the fashion line, which is called, “Famous Stars and Stripes.” It might sound patriotic, but it isn’t.

You can see the rest of the pictures of Km here.

Hilary Duff: “Stuff By Hilary” New Eyewear Collection

January 2, 2008 | 1 Comment

Hilary Duff
She may not be the rising star in Hollywood, but Hilary Duff has grown up in innumerable ways since she first starred in Disney - and I don’t think she’ll be stopping anytime soon. Now an actress in her own right, she’s also a singer and a clothing designer. The line, “Stuff By Hilary” has been around for awhile, but she’s recently added to it: eyewear for kids, tweens and teens.

The eyewear is already available in Walmart stores across the United States and Canada. Each of the frames come in different shapes, colors and styles, but they all have an “HD” foil logo on the inside right. Some of them have crystals or cut-out shapes like butterflies. I think it’s safe to say, there’s something for almost any girl.

Hilary’s designs include 2 types of eyewear available for the kids: Definitely Duff and Citrine, which are available in 2-color combinations, antique gold/green and purple/lavendar.

Hilary has designed seven frames suitable for the tweens and teens including Dignity, Cody, Stormy, Metamorphosis, Susan, Vintage and With Love.

You can visit www.stardoll.com to dress up a “Hilary Doll” or just about any other star. It’s kinda fun.

Natalie Portman Designs Vegan Shoes

December 28, 2007 | 2 Comments

Natalie Portman

Natalie Portman has teamed up with a New York shoe shop, Te Casan, to create a vegan shoe collection. I can’t find anywhere that says what the shoes are made of, since vegans abstain from all animal products, they are “non-leather,” like the red patent leather shoes shown in the picture above. I wonder what they’re made from — plastic, maybe?

In any case, orders for the shoes will begin January 15, and the collection will be available in stores in February 2008. Five percent of all of the profits from these shoes will go towards a charity.

I don’t know anything else about them, like price or anything, but check back, and I’ll get that to you as soon as I know. The thing about these, is you don’t have to be a vegetarian or a vegan to appreciate them, just an animal lover.

Heidi Klum Sued Over Jewelry Design Similarities

Heidi Klum

German supermodel Heidi Klum is being sued by luxury jeweller Van Cleef and Arpels because they claimed that she copied one of their jewelry designs, a vintage clover.

Now, granted the designs are very similar, so that doesn’t look good for Heidi. And they both are very pretty. Charm-like bracelets and necklaces are back in. Anyway, the company is suing Heidi’s company, Heidi Klum GmbH, and another company she designed for, Mouawad USA, another company she’s designed jewelry for in the past.

Problem is: There are a lot of similarities.

This is the Heidi Klum GmbH necklace (the Mouawad design is at the top):

This is the Van Cleef and Arpel Necklace:

Do you think there are too many similarities? Or do you think Heidi’s is an original design?

Beyonce Knowles Poses For House of Dereon Jeans

Beyonce Knowles: The House of Dereon

Evidently, topless photos are “in” right now, because just a few weeks after Keira Knightley made the poor decision to pose topless for Interview Magazine (and a Chanel ad), Beyonce is doing the same. Beyonce is sporting jeans - and only jeans - from her clothing line, “House of Dereon.”
A source told News of the World, “Bey wanted to show just how seductive the label can be.” She did a good job. The jeans are tight, and have a “squiggly,” which is supposed to be a Fleur-de-Lis (a symbol of the French monarchy), on the back pockets. To check out the full line, visit House of Dereon.

Personally, I think she should have stuck with Armani’s Diamonds.
